California Quails are richly-patterned, round birds that can be found hurrying across clearings in brushy areas of California and the Northwest. Their most distinctive feature is their comma-shaped head plume, which is actually a cluster of six overlapping feathers. California's state bird, they're often seen scratching at the ground in large groups, dashing forward on blurred legs, or flushing with fury from shrubs.
This embroidered bird patch has an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue.
